Key Skills
Key Skills are as they sound - the skills we all need to different extents in whatever sector or job we work in.
Learners funded by the Skills Funding Agency are expected to complete Key Skills as part of the Apprenticeship framework. There are three Key Skills for Level 2 Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeships : Communication and Application of Number and ICT.
The Key Skills have an Early Years focus and are required to be completed at the start of training.It is detailed in each learner's portfolio what they need to do to complete the different elements of the Key Skills. It may be necessary for learners to attend Eden Training for additional support when completing Key Skills, particularly in the area of Numeracy and ICT.
