Playwork NVQ Level 2 and 3
Playwork is defined as "work with children aged 5 to 15 to facilitate their development through play".
The Playwork NVQ is based on Playwork values:
- Children's play is freely chosen, personally directed and motivated from within.
- Through play the child explores the world.
- By play the child learns and develops as an individual.
- Adults provide an appropriate environment, enhance opportunities for children to play creatively and develop.
The award allows people to become more competent and confident in their work, which will have positive benefits for the club, as well as the children and parents.
Playwork level 2 consists of 6 mandatory units. Playwork level 3 consists of 9 mandatory units and 2 optional units. Each unit will be certificated along with a final overall certificate from City & Guilds once all units are completed.
