Early Years NVQ Assessor / Tutor

Do you have an Assessor qualification and / or Teaching Qualification (post 16) and level 3 Early years qualification? If so talk to us about joining our exciting, expanding team.

A full time position is available but applications are welcome from part time applicants (we work all year round).

We are looking for someone who will share this commitment, In return you will be supported by senior well qualified staff and have the opportunity to develop yourself and the qualifications you hold.

This job involves travelling across Essex (incl. Colchester, Bentwood, Chelmsford, Southend) and offers job variety and satisfaction. A full clean driving licence and use of a car are essential.

You will visit learners in their workplace, assess and observe practice building strong professional relationships with learners and employers. You need the skills to provide constructive feedback and support to learners on their assessment within agreed timescales.

You will need to be familiar with, and follow the NVQ Code of Practice and awarding body criteria and guidance. To do this you will need appropriate Early Years / Playwork qualifications to level 3, preferably level 4. Suitable subject knowledge is necessary with recent workplace experience at management level or if already assessing evidence of continual professional development. A1 (or D32/D33 updated to A1 assessor award) essential. Key Skill level 2 Communication and Application of Number desirable or a commitment to complete essential - which we will fund and support.

Post 16 teaching qualification desirable or a commitment to complete qualification essential - which we will fund and support.

Salary: in excess of £19,500 pa (negotiable depending on qualifications and experience) plus incentive payments.
